About IWEF
The Inanna Women Empowerment Foundation (IWEF) was founded in 2007 to help women of African-descent achieve a self-sustainable livelihood for them and their children. We empower African women to take care of themselves by inspiring and nurturing their ambition to be self-sufficient.
Our motto, “to inspire and nurture the ambition of a new Africa” captures the truth that women are the backbone of African society, and our children are the soul of its future. If we want to create a “new” kind of Africa, different from the one that has not achieved its potential over the last fifty years, we have to invest much more in developing our women and children. . .
